Summer Research Opportunities for Undergrads

Students in the lab

Wake Forest University offers summer research opportunities for undergraduates through an NSF-sponsored program and the Wake Forest Translational Science Center. Eligible students from local colleges and universities (with sophomore standing, or 25+ credit hours completed) may apply to participate in 10 weeks of mentored scientific research with a faculty advisor and graduate student mentor.

Selected students receive a $4,000 stipend for the 10-week program, and on-campus housing may be available at no cost. Participants also present their work at the Summer Research Symposium and Fall Wake Forest Undergraduate Research Day, meet with their support team, and develop a career plan.
