As a recipient of the Richter Scholarship Award, Jaden was able to conduct research in the Hashmi Lab at Heidelberg University, Germany. He gained experience in the synthesis of N-heterocyclic carbene ligands for homogeneous gold(I) catalysis to examine ligand effects on reactions he studies at Wake Forest. Additionally,heI spent time traveling Germany, trying new foods, and exploring German culture!
