Yueming Long is a featured graduate of the class of 2021. Yueming hails from Shanghai, China and is very focused and passionate as a Chemistry major. She has studied with Dr. Bruce King who noted her dedication to research and the academic process.
King notes, she was always comfortable asking questions and described these relationships as more of a “mentor/mentee” relationship than “professor/student.”
The next stop on her journey is graduate school at California Institute of Technology, in Pasadena California. She will begin a course of study as a Chemistry Ph.D. student. She is also interested in turning her chemistry focus toward entrepreneurship.
When asked about her favorite part of studying here at Wake Forest, Long said, “It’s the small environment. Here, your professor remembers you, and you can interact with them after class hours. They’re always there for you.”
