Job Search: 2 Instrumentation Lab Managers


We are seeking to hire two instrumentation lab managers with expertise in the areas of: (1) powder/thin film X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy SEM; and (2) mass spectrometry MS.  These are full-time positions (renewable annually) with full benefits. These positions will provide support for the teaching, research, and service mission of the Chemistry Department and the Biochemistry & Molecular Biology program at Wake Forest University.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a closely related discipline. Candidates are expected to have expertise in the operation and maintenance of instrumentation; a proven track record in the acquisition and analysis of data; the ability to provide instrument training to undergraduate and graduate students, and to work collaboratively with faculty on research projects.  The successful candidates will also be expected to teach at least one class per academic year in support of the undergraduate and graduate programs.
